groooovey.
well, so i didn't get my Zen Micro. i didn't get my toshiba portege a200 either.
but so what?
cos here's what i got.....a silver ipod mini!! plus a dell laptop...12.1inch, super chio, with 1.8GHz, and a 1GB DDR ram, plus 80GB harddrive, and a DVD WRITER (!!!!!) all for just $2.4. hmm.
they're showing spiderman on AXN now..and there're some trailers for the upcoming tsunami programme on channel 5..think its really worthy to watch it...albeit rather painful.
does anybody see that elsewhere in the world, earthquakes are happening in iran, avalanches in pakistan, and malaria everywhere else. hmm. why is the world so ignorant of what's going on around us? as much as attention shud be placed on the tsunami-hit areas..i certainly hope some of that help, no matter how little of it goes to these other places, where families are taken apart, and homes wrecked.
sigh...remember how we used to learn about global warming at whatnot to save the world...granted, when the world ends, it's probably not within our lifetimes...... maybe, just maybe, we should use less plastics and try and save some paperrr..which is not happening in my part of the world...as much as nus tries to go electronic...it just means more hassle in printing out notes...not saving much paper or time or money.... and must study somemore...siann..
on a brighter note, cousin huili aka daphne is getting married tonight!!! how exciting man. next year additional HB liao...shiok sia!!

gasp! just took this longwinded test circulating in the med yahoogroups about medical specialties.. dam zhun siah!
maybe 7 or 8 years down the road, i'm most likely to be specializing in...
1) radiology
2) dermatology
3) plastic surgery
4) nuclear med
5) occupational med
6) thoracic surgery
7) emergency med
8) colorectal surgery
9) gastroenterology
10) general surgery
... and they're in order 'mostly likely'ness. hahah whatever u call it. but man!! when sch first started, had wanted to do dermatology or plastic surgery.. quite zun siah!! haha but what in the F is radiology..my highest ranked one..better go check it out man doesnt sound interesting at all.. but u can forget about seeing me doing nuclear or occupational med cos i have totally no interest in them at all. hoho.

well anyway came back early today...and fell prey to the zzz monster..was intending to go for a swim but it was so scorchingly boringly hot i ended up napping.
yes. the bloody temperature. hottest in 29 years.. bush fires occuring everyday, just had 2 near my estate a few days ago.. and right now in my room, i can still smell smoky fumes. i think somewhere around, a bushfire occurred again.
i'm so glad im outta hall now! swear i'll be sweating and swearing like mad if i were still at F110. and i still dun get why people wanna stay there. hahhaha..

'u only need 50% to pass right? if u get 0marks for your CAs, u only need 50% out of the remaining 80%, and all u need is to get 62.5marks right? see, that's not hard.'

Great day, great company.
had a good day out with brudders jasper and colin...watched a fantastic show, plus good, unexpected buys.. ahhaha..
we were clowning around in town cos there were so many pple wearing freshbox tshirts so we were dam jiao.. so we went people spotting.. took freshbox while jasper took vondutch.. in the end, i triumphed 21 sightings to his 9 pathetic sightings, irritatingly.
yeahh bought a fourskin tshirt, halfpriced, stumbled upon a cool retro shop in far east and bought this lava thingy..and last of all, got my pair of mercurial vapors!!! after eons of yearning..finally got it..my dream boots..can't wait man.
we watched hotel rwanda. it was a very touching show..and very good. it's unthinkable really, the genocide, as it unfolded on the bigscreen. luckily, all's well ended well..very poignant show pointing out the harsh realities of war..and u can really see how powerful propaganda is..however unbelievable it is.

i met a friend today. she's gorgeous and she's funny.. but she didn't get any flowers for valentine's day!!??! hello, has people taken the meaning out of valentine's day? how can u do v day without flowers for pretty girls..oh come on!
yeahh..this girl, she sets my heart afluttering, never fails to do so =) and makes me gasp all the time hahaha..but she's just my friend. (i hope YOU got that.) somehow, she's just so easy to talk to, so easy to amuse and so very sweet..

screwed up day.
hai.. i'm in trouble man. somebody save me.
woke up at 8.30 today..didn't even realise the time until i noticed how bright it was, the sun shining on my bum. great feeling, good sleep. but i was darn bloody late for school. i figured that if i was to leave for school, either by train or by cab, i'll prolly reach at 9.45. thanks to the massive jams. and considering that sch actually ends at 10am today, mite as well don't go. sigh. read thru the notes.. somewhat like i've learnt that before..just super more indepth. in trouble, in trouble. settled to study some upperlimbs..k that was good..i think ive accomplished that. lowerlimb. just starting..started..lost.
watched like 4 episodes of OC, thanks sel. hahaha. dammit. and here i am again. scouring for Zen micros at Ipod minis online. i've decided on the zen micro. i'm not a big apple fan.
hmm. on a side note, was just thinking of what they were talking about yesterday..something about zhuang's reflections..i mean, i havent been able to come up with one. maybe it seemed to be a distant memory, like it never happened before, some kind of dream. somehow everything back home now seems to have taken all that back there away. it's very hard to ignore the fact that we're sort of back into 'reality' right now, with our own commitments and priorities. and then again, somewhere along the way, we're lost in really deciphering 'reality'.
the harsh poverty back there, and our lives here. what's real now?

aching
just woke up about 1.5 hours ago...after a 5 hour nap..hahah hey, was locked out for awhile from my own rooom last nite and in the end slept at 3am, only to wake up at 8 to play some footie with botak gang..luckily it was just round the corner at yishun..against nasir's team, our old pals from ri.
my, our orange jerseys sure brought us luck this new year man!! after going a man down in the 2nd half and 4-0...some screaming brought the scoreline back to 4-4 with 2 minutes to go!! haha.. keith the hero with a hattrick and mian with a beautiful chip over raihan
and, it finally materialized. our trip to phuket on apr 19th is taking off. only hitch is that i've gotta be there at the airport at 0525 to collect the tix. ...................................
k, wasted enough of my saturday now..having slept the whole afternoon away..bloody beattie got sent off in the 7th minute.

and the rooster croons..
i love chinese new year!!
it's a joyous occasion where the whole family gets to meet up for once and talk and laugh and drink and eat..yes..eat i did..eat alot alot i did...my gosh those pineapple tarts and steamboats and booze are too much..and those angpows..they just keep flowing in..nonstop. HOW I WISHED EVERYDAY WAS NEW YEAR. yes, its the time when all my relatives meet. regardless of what feuds or misunderstandings, they were all put behind as everyone smiles and joins in the fun..
went nikki's house for some visiting and met up with old frens, more satisfying meeting kennard and kennedy there, my long time buddies whom i havent met for close to a year. yeah man. its been such a long time. ok maybe just about 5 months. still, considering how long its been..
