centennial staff students games are finally over..by some miracle, my fellow batchmates managed to conjure up enough pple to form a team to face the oldies..hey man by oldies they are no means slowies..
kinda got creamed by them in some sports..and we lost narrowly 3-2!! basket...lost the racket games, table tennis, badminton and tennis..but tennis was close though..and eunice's such a dear for calling the tennis pple..even a houseman!! yeahh but we won bball and soccer..these we totally creamed them man..
4-0 for soccer!!!

yeahh..so the first shield went to the staff...after netball was cancelled..which i felt wasnt really fair since the old ladies bangseh us instead..so shuda been a walkover...but. give them chance lah. anyway, they did most of the work..and the after games dinner was FANTASTIC MAN!!

sorry didnt take much pictures..but the buffet spread was...my gosh. heavenly man. im sure all of u who came down really loved it..and thanks for coming too!! sure, nothing like the pizza and beer with the dean, but the dean was there, along with the booze minus the pizza..
but hey man, crayfish, baked mussels, tons of chicken wings, KEBABS, ONE WHOLE ROASTED LAMB, lotsa fish and crispy you tiao...WOOHOO!! and BOOZE TOO!! and dean sponsored a bottle of red wine, NOW IS THAT SHIELD WORTH IT OR WHAT!! that dinner was a total killer man..really..my gosh..that soft tenderly sweet lamb taste still lingers in my mouth..

that's cos...the night before, or rather, the morning earlier...was a disaster..

went for zhi's 1970s party..where only yk and i kept to the theme haha! and i left my shades there amidst the drunken stupor...yeahh..so it was just the few of us, ruggers, swimmers and us hanging out at zhi's place...mixed up a great cocktail..and then the party began..with shots.....after shots...............after shots.........
till the whole party ended up in the garden...out of the house...around the neighbourhood...yeahhh u get the idea....

one moment i was shooting baskets in his garden, next sprawled on the trampoline, before you know it..im charging down his lanes...

and puked out all the all-u-can-eat-chickenwings-contest with sarah (i lost btw, by a large margin) before stumbling into dongdong's car where he dropped nyen and i at bishan..took the nightrider..when i woke up, nyen was oredi gone..so i alighted at yishun..before i merlioned another 3 times...and ended up sleeping at the kopitiam tables...buying a gulp at 711...and stumbling home at 6am..where i snoozed till 2pm...oh, interrupted intermittenly by calls and sms regarding games later..and trooped down, with a terrible hangover to NUS for the games.

YES. that's all i have to report. i need to go back and pack now, before i meet ekin kailun at london..hahaha..

ahh..seems like i've been gone for a long time..but no! its just been 3 days..bus rides, ramly burgers, games, bruises, food and more food, and not forgetting many new friends made!

ahh yes, it was a pretty good trip, got know a few more med pple better, and some of them are so funny..like jeremy and mengchon hahaha...and man, are the malaysians nice..they are. very hospitable. they made our stay so comfortable and accomodating, we'd all give them 5 stars for that.

so we got on a 6hr trip to KL, stopping over at yongpeng..me and 14others on the 1st bus..and marksim and i got a ramly burger each..nice but overpriced at 4ringgit!! we reached UM pretty much exhausted..and they treated us to ramlee for supper again!! i almost puked..3 burgers in msia on the 1st day (cos i had kfc zinger for dinner in KLoso) haha shit my english is getting dam lousy now..

ok some highlights:

- crapping with jeremy,mc and huiyu abt milla and resident's evil on the bus (Great show)
- 3 burgers in 8 hours
- dusty and sparse college rooms with rickety beds and wardrobes (like a scene outta a dorm in the 70s complete with lizards and flowery curtains)
- speeding down the highway to indians/blacks populated bangsar in a mini car with wenjie and 5 others at the back
- losing...almost everything...
- we beat the malaysians in futsal...sort of hahah
- we beat them in touch? no..not really..but we won anyway! ahhaha
- having nasi lemak for breakfast...literally coconut rice....with chilli and half an egg and peanuts
- watching man utd lose undeservedly to arsenal with the msians in their tv room...for once we're on the same side
- having a chicken buffet for dinner
- eating gui ling gao with rongster at petaling
- playing cards at the sidewalk in KL

and last but not least, speeding back from KL to singapore in under 4 hours...my god. that's really wad i call EXPRESS man.

yeah, well. and one thing i really took back from this trip and probably won't forget was our futsal matches..fast and furious, and with total commitment..i dun remember playing futsal till i was so breathless for a loong loong time..credit to the whole team man..we all played super well, and everybody gave 200%. and of course, the hospitality of the malaysians, and the cruel but hard fact that indeed, the chinese there have less opportunities to succeed as compared to the malays, no matter how smart they are.

ah. i'm going to read the papers. im quite tired now actually.

GPAs and all that

to honestly say, i know nuts about stuff like that..medicine doesnt offer you a proper university education..u know nothing about modules..u know nothing about GPA..and all that funny letters and numbers that pop out from your friends..u know nuts..yeahh well i know nuts..

its so interesting to read that people can choose easier or 'filler' modules to push up their grades.. in order to go for 1st class honours or just into dean's list.. and so many of my friends are doing so well overseas...esp in the US..it seems like they seem to have all the fun in the world..and complain about how behind they are in their studies..saying they're gonna die..okay i probably believe them..but they still do pretty well to get into dean's lists!

hmm..i wonder how well i would do if i was overseas... but i'll have to be contend with my grades..

procrastination is an ill of the society.

everybody waits till the last minute. i'm guilty of it too. but many a times, mine results in consequences of my own.

but when people procrastinate, and in turn, somebody else suffers, or even on a greater scale, a community gets the end of it...it's really too much.

ya sentosa and the hut were pretty fun and refreshing man..

and i'm turning into a water baby..i just love the waters now..so i headed down to where the southern most point of the asian peninsula is located and we had a whale of a time, literally.

now i end up having a bruised 1st interdigital cleft on my right hand thanks to the frisbee..
sentosa is so different now. it looks certainly much more beautiful, and the people too, getting more and more beautiful. from fully clothed adolescents thronging the sandy beaches just a mere 2 years ago, sentosa has become a haven for bikini-clad beauties to frolick in the blue, albeit still murky, waters of the lagoons..

fortunately..the 'wildlife' is still pretty much unharmed, large schools of marine fish/longkang fish still inhabit the waters until the bridge, but less shy now and we found 'chit-chit' aka shellfish in the shallow waters of the offshore isle nearby..

but it was good to see that the young people nowadays are more open and outgoing now, and we just invited people to join in for some beach soccer..even seeing poly dudes picking up bikini secsch girls in beach vball..KM8 was a total disappointment.must be cos it was monday night..totally deserted man. but yeah they play some chill-out music. not outstanding, but a pretty cool concept.

okay, so jianhong, jirong and i left the hut to seek some cool solace on the beach, only to end up in the newly constructed hall/pavilion to spend our night..waking up to chittering noises and 'taptap' sounds in the night and frozen muscles. so here i am, having woken up from my slumber and dinner..yummy claypot chicken rice. my traps are aching already. and my brother is still screaming at my mother..hmm.

can't wait to finish downloading my OC..and i wonder how much my bro is paying for subscription to WOW. yes need to pay to play...what in the world is that logic?

so now, today thursday is TV day..and i'm glad to find out half hour ago that SCOTT SAVOL HAS BEEN ELIMINATED!!!! WOOHOOO!!! fedorov is still safe though, but she's certainly gonna be the next one outta the door man!! yeaahHhh!! the top 3..carrie, vonzell and bo will definitely make it thru man. no doubt about that. carrie has a good voice, but she tends to be a little stoned on stage. bo has got great stage presence, but somehow, his vocals tend to be somewhat limited in range. i think vonzell is a good mix of both, blessed with GREAT vocals and beauty. she'll probably win it. i hope she wins it.
