just before we went down to snorkel...nice cool waters, pretty clear, lots and lots of fishes around!! coudnt catch them man..they were too agile and nimble for us..

yeahhh just touched down not too long ago from bangkok! admidst some delays and hiccups..we finally got back safe and sound..and tired and sleepy..

think we went for too long..but nevertheless a pretty good trip, from wakeboarding and snorkelling to getting cheated of $10 for my shades to posing like trannies to bangkok to chatuchak market to mbk to lodchong and hours and hours of nonstop bridge! it was a good getaway man.

really, thailand is seriously a land of smiles..people are really friendly..esp when it comes to touting..but they're polite and all, nothing like the pickpocketing that was rife as heard..and pretty much nice..and having great bargainS!!!

phuket's generally more expensive than bangkok..and mann..u can never guess that a tsunami hit them..they've got back so fast..everything's pretty much normal and nice..just price hikes alot..and the water got a little bit too salty for my liking..hmm..wonder wad went on man..

yeahh so we shopped and shopped.think rong and i bought more than 10tshirts each..haha..and some cute stuff lah..collectibles..chatuchak rocks man!! and yah, how can one forget about the thai girls there? simply ravishing.. and braces seem to be really hot too! the cutest girls wear braces...complete with their large, luscious almond eyes, cute round button nose and small pursed lips..esp the fair ones!

speaking of that, coming from phuket, really kana thot of as thais man..at least i didnt get as much hits as sel..she's darker than the thais hahaha..

well how i miss that place..and thanks ya all, for your wishes! hope my luck..gets better now that i'm 20..gosh that....is.......old.........man.

haha..well..okay whatever it is..IT'S MY BIRTHDAY TODAY!! yes that's right..20th apr..

yupp finally touched down at phuket..wanted to post one pre trip post..but was at jirong's at it was rather late..and had to wake up at 4.30am to catch the plane!! wooHOoo so we spent the first day settling in, walking around, checking out the sights at patong beach..our driver's really nice and funny..but well, we actually wanted to try wakeboarding on the 2nd day.that's today..but in e end we fell into the persuasion trap by the thais haha..albeit a very unsucessful wakeboarding session cos the waters were so damned choppy!! okay at least we did water skiing after that cos the guy thot we were too hopeless..hahhaaa.. was quite fun!took some videos with amanda's camera hahah.. jirong and sel were the king and queen man..dam good..

so that was our tiring first day..we conked out at 10pm can u believe it!! haha..will load up some photos man..we booked a trip to raya island for some snorkelling and chilling out today..woohoOo dam shiok man swmming with all the fishes..yeah there were many! compared to last time, maybe not so many varieties..but the water was pretty crystal clear!! hahaa.. it was dam tiring lah, and we like got seasick cos the pple who went on the boat earlier had to wait there..and it just kept rocking and rocking..

kk eating at this nice happening RIO restaurant which is dam cosy and has a dam nice settting..abit like nydc but cosier cosit has sofas, free pool and internet and bars..and trannies of cos..ooOohh the hot waitress with the nice eyes and perfect english just told me sweetly my food is here..k anyway i think i gotta go..haha told them to order anything they want cos i'm gonna treat them..but they don't know yet!! heehee..

gonna go thai massage and watch sunrise tmr morning!! yeahh!! and fly off to bangkok for 3 days of shopping after that!! wooHooo

i did check out CDANS, and i got to do gym for free!! and a personal jacuzzi too..so BIG.. that it was actually like in those movies..the mafia bosses all gathering together in the jacuzzi talking abt the next person they wanna kill..yah cept that i had it all to myself..hahaha..

well so today...i woke up, had a healthy breakfast of HL low fat milk, bananas and bread with cream cheese (philadelphia) hmmm yummm..and to top it off, fresh orange juice..yumm..den i rushed straight down to sch for the match..argh..

well, good news is.... WE WON!!! hahha first time man..and it was partly cos we had luck on our side and lotsa quality in the team today..hmm well..i think we could go a loong way..

got JIAOED by this bloody SOC guy who claims he's from SAFSA...and the first thing he said to me was 'your team is gonna lose' UP YOURS ARSEHOLE! cos we won 2-1..

and next,

he wanted a match up with our team and asked for the captain, oooh should have seen the look on his face when he gasped, 'u're the capt??' haha yes i am safsa arsehole..and for your info i scored the first goal with my left leg from 30 yards out, albeit with some help from the keeper..so kinda fluke..but oh well, a goal's a goal..

bad news:

- strained my tibialis anterior while taking a freekick during warmup.

- strained it again when i practised taking a corner

- it kapoked when fred zammed me from the front..

and now i'm left with 2 blisterin' blisters which are now newly swollen and red, and plus a waddling gait thanks to my possibly-torn tibialis anterior..yeah dammned can't even walk properly can..

just somehow, the camaraderie and old jokes just keeps us together. like how when we were walking towards the loo to relieve ourselves and bumped into a couple quarrelling, but all 4 of us holding it in till the loo door closed, and burst out laughing all at the same time. hahaa..shit man that memory was simply funny...

alright, perhaps the 4 of us don't meet up together as often as we should, dun talk as much when we don't meet as well. but when we do, it's pure magic.

yes! only 1.5weeks to go!! bunked at zhongyang's last night with isaac, after conking out at 2am in the study room..stayed till 9.30pm again tonight..AHHH the stress..so many things to memorise..yeah man its not really about studying..it's really about MEMORY WORK.

went to donate plasma today..cos sel and i couldnt donate blood!! cos we went to malaria high risked cambodge..but well it was an interesting experience..the centrifuge machine and the nurse were just hilarious..

now, i have a pretty sensitive nose u noe. this was wad happened on the way home.. looking forward to chilling on my bed infront of my comp..so i boarded 95. i made a mistake. chose a seat beside a bloody sweat-stank chinaman who obviously just finished his construction work. that's okay.

-next stop: coupla indians got on the bus (i'm no racist i have many good indian frens), but man, they should really cut down on the coconut oil. yeah they plonked down right AROUND me. so i had to endure a concoction of stale sweat plus coconut oil.

-finally!! got off the bus, chionged straight to the mrt station. my good fortune, found a free seat!! EVEN BETTER FORTUNE..this hawker centre uncle who's obviously been frying sumthing fatty and oily the whole day sat down beside me. WAFTS of fried oil engulfed my olfactory bulbs. i really couldnt take it. sprayed my nivea around. gosh. it still came on. over and over until he finally got off at woodlands.

Sleepy Sunday

been a whirlwind those past few days! havent really got down to studying like i said i would.. but spending quality time with brothers and friends, catching shows like never before, haha, do i sound deprived! (yes i was............)

watched lemony snicket's with brudder zhuang and toes, it was okay, not outstanding..and the baby never fails to seize the day..hahaha so CUTE. adorable..maybe i should have one of my own..

- IT fair : disappointingly crowded, nothing impressive. and nothing that i really wanted out of it either..

- travelling to IT fair: it was horror. after waiting for 171 at far east for wad seems like eternity, jasper and i decided to walk up to goodwood for some durian puffs.. met andrew there he's waiting..and he's mother broad..ahhaa.. yeahh and saddest thing was, no durian puffs.
fuck. so we took a cab down to suntec...the biggest regret of our lives. took an hour to get there, cab far amounting to $11.70.

lesson of the day: NEVER TAKE A BUS OR CAB DOWN ORCHARD ROAD ON SATURDAYS. always trust the mrt, even if it's a little squeezy.

- went to china square to check out some toy shops and chanced upon some retro collectibles shop..he looked for marilyn monroe while i was looking for some nice old posters to put up... hmm.. maybe they would have audrey hepburn hidden somewhere in some corner..natalie would love that!

- had dinner at changing appetites, this nydc/cartel like cafe at china square while waiting for brother col.

- football and escargot and chivas at jasper's place..was sleepy...

- 3 brothers sleeping together on the floor, chatting the night away till we fell asleep.. was a good gathering.. and it's been long since we've talked like this, since guys rarely talked anyway, with moments of madness in between... well, the myth is still not disproved... THE BROTHERS 4 CAN NEVER BE TOGETHER AT THE SAME TIME.

woke up bright and early for some breakfast by uncle ang, sumptuous.. and we left for RI for some kickaround.. nice meeting up with those 4F dudes, and enjoying the whole sch for ourselves on sunday... took a walk down memory lane.. back to senior block, with our faces forever etched in the annals of RI..hahah YEAH MAN!! the sports captains photos still stand on those hallowed walls..

and of course, went souvenir hunting..brought back a hurdle and a hockey stick, wanted to bring back some smely tshirts to wash but they were just tooo smelly..checked out that eerie tunnel leading from the range to the track..found an old TnF programme with my name inside!!! woohoo!

ahh..treasures are everywhere, just waiting for us to pick up... and every step i take brings back so much memories, and in some nook or cranny, the most unsuspecting corner, somewhere somehow, i would find myself. literally.

but somehow, the euphoria wasnt there...k maybe cos pros are coming in 3.5 weeks exactly. how i'm gonna chiill tonight with a beer infront of the tv man.

yeah and i got home pretty early after wandering around town alone..got some nice surprises..

does anybody see that elsewhere in the world, earthquakes are happening in iran, avalanches in pakistan, and malaria everywhere else. hmm. why is the world so ignorant of what's going on around us? as much as attention shud be placed on the tsunami-hit areas..i certainly hope some of that help, no matter how little of it goes to these other places, where families are taken apart, and homes wrecked.

sigh...remember how we used to learn about global warming at whatnot to save the world...granted, when the world ends, it's probably not within our lifetimes...... maybe, just maybe, we should use less plastics and try and save some paperrr..which is not happening in my part of the world...as much as nus tries to go electronic...it just means more hassle in printing out notes...not saving much paper or time or money.... and must study somemore...siann..

had a good day out with brudders jasper and colin...watched a fantastic show, plus good, unexpected buys.. ahhaha..

we were clowning around in town cos there were so many pple wearing freshbox tshirts so we were dam jiao.. so we went people spotting.. took freshbox while jasper took vondutch.. in the end, i triumphed 21 sightings to his 9 pathetic sightings, irritatingly.

yeahh bought a fourskin tshirt, halfpriced, stumbled upon a cool retro shop in far east and bought this lava thingy..and last of all, got my pair of mercurial vapors!!! after eons of yearning..finally got it..my dream boots..can't wait man.

we watched hotel rwanda. it was a very touching show..and very good. it's unthinkable really, the genocide, as it unfolded on the bigscreen. luckily, all's well ended well..very poignant show pointing out the harsh realities of war..and u can really see how powerful propaganda is..however unbelievable it is.

hmm. on a side note, was just thinking of what they were talking about yesterday..something about zhuang's reflections..i mean, i havent been able to come up with one. maybe it seemed to be a distant memory, like it never happened before, some kind of dream. somehow everything back home now seems to have taken all that back there away. it's very hard to ignore the fact that we're sort of back into 'reality' right now, with our own commitments and priorities. and then again, somewhere along the way, we're lost in really deciphering 'reality'.

i met liz yesterday in the library. she didn't recognise me. hahaha..after all i was all of 13/14/15 years old..prolly still with geeky specs and all.. she didn't cos i've changed alot.

it's been almost a year now, coming to realise it..2 months short of the exact period. didn't seem to have been so long, but it has been. i guess that it was right that it ended. we were never meant to be together perhaps, we prolly never complimented each other much. perhaps, what put us thru so long was just that new experience, to have someone to fall head over heels with, that exhilaration and sweetness that makes us gush and exchange 'i love u's when we surprise each other. well, in any case we just ran out of steam. if u're really this, i'm sorry for what happened. but then again, thanks for the memories. cos i've realised that first loves will always be that. it's always going to end anyway. just when and how. perhaps it wasnt too appropriate at how it ended.

but now, i THINK i've matured, i dunno about u. but one thing i take away from it, is that u should never throw yourself too deep into it, cos its gonna hurt when u try to get out.
