just wanted to do some covers back on hoian cos nanzun reminded me that i didnt continue after nhatrang..so here it is..with my favourite kid at cua dai beach, dun be lazy be crazy, dun be angry be hungry! i was dam fit then.
as i mentioned..all their shophouses look nice and oldie on the outside..but a strong flavour of art deco, frenchcolonialism indochine touch..very nice very nice...
cua dai beach!! haven man...check out the LALA..its huge..and the bowl of sauce beside is heavenly..coupled with some pineapple fruit juice..yumm and of course, their calamari/sotong is irresistible!!

Back after a whirlwind trip at MUNUS, where we had lots of fun getting locked out of our dorms, facing the similar conditions from 2 years back...and also very achey bodies.. a first time experience falling asleep watching the FA cup final though, which was thoroughly disappointing...even DogBa fell asleep!

so well, there goes my weekend, and i'm back at NUH at 8am for my daily dose of schizo/bipolar patients..

oh, and of course, the ever good traditional kaya toast, half boiled eggs and kopi at the NUH kopitiam. mmm....comfort food...

And strangely, they like to NOT post me to the nearest hospital which is tan tockseng, and i find that strangely REPULSIVE.

I've heard TTSH is world-renowned (chuckles) for its teaching and i've yet to experience that...worse still, i haven't even stepped into the wards and all i've got from that 1 week posting was in some dingy basement conference room with lectures that stretched for eons and never end...

22nd.

Thanks for making it extra special guys, probably one of the best birthdays i've had :)

Special mention goes out to cheang who gave me a new Massimo Dutti wallet, which i'll postup pictures of it..verypretty and functional :) and also surprising me with a custom ice-cream cake (literally icecream, bravissimo styled) at the playground below my house at midnight..hurhur.. Thanks dear :)

Also, to my meddie brudders, brought me out for a night at St james, queueing at several clubs to try to get in on my birthday proper...it was nice to finally see the place man, some oldie crowd there...literally seeing our grannies partying away..hurhur...and thanks guys for inducing some puke in me every 30minutes...only recovered from GE a couple of days before ah...but its always great to hang with the meddie bros, knowing we're gonna be there for each other...probably forever.

Next up, my brudders who've been thru thick and thin with me, treating them to a sumptuous zhichar at our favourite town, AMK, over some SingHa beer..it was good man, our first meetup together since god knows when..and thanks for the Big Toys guys, they're displayed proudly on my bedroom floor cos its so big...hurhur...it was really great man, all the usual laughter and jokes and jiaoing of pple (sorry man col bro) the stupid antics, can hardly believe we're 21/22..

April has always been one of the busiest months of my calendar..not say alot of months also only 12..but yea, it probably became the busiest ever since medical school came into play...

Early april
of course, its the bloody pros that usually take up much of the time. all that worrying, insomnia, palpitations...usually weightloss but in recent years, it's pretty much turned over to weight gain..

This time of this year tho, I was pretty much hauling myself back from the dead and enjoying much of my time in emed...no break still...and den it was diagnostic radio which wa pretty slack, except for the fact that i had TEN writeups to submit..as well as multiple redundant logbook entries.

Midapril
mid april went pretty much well with a break to our nearby neighbours..where cheap food and stuff apparently don't exist anymore. however though, malaysia food really can qie singapore man..i mean, authetic good stuff man!

End april
end april appears to have been set for me, other than falling sick from GE over the past 2 days, also being exposed to much rhinoviruses from the GP posting, falling asleep during the GP postings...hmm..and well. lots of things to settle for the electives!!

it's so exciting that everyone's talking about electives now..especially when our seniors have just gone off for theirs...its really time to apply man, have got some firm ideas in mind, but haven't quite settled except for 1..

Yupp, its gonna be a 4 month elective, and since all the meddie brudders are going over to NY for the 4th month, I might as well, checked out the location, its superb man! plus the teaching in US genereally better i heard. 3 weeks roadtrip after! hmm.

yeah, actually since M1 i've been pretty much looking forward to going to London, but what with the popularity of that supposedly cold and depressing place, combined with the early deadlines, as well as my Pros and Emed falling right 3 weeks before the deadline, i didnt have anytime for that. sadness is me :( hurhur.

But oh well, 1st 2 months local electives are pretty much set! compulsory 1 month projectwork anyway.

3rd month is tricky...kisobo in tanzania! was discussing with the peeps today..it's pretty much a real choice, cos i really wanna chek that place out ya..and of cos lots of hands on.

yup, so 2 or 3 more places left in mind..

In the meantime, i'm looking forward to the short break cheang has with me...especially since i'm still doing Fam med, not much homework to be done, not much needed to be read..

and it's HIGH TIME WE GET TO DO SOME SHOPPING!! think i've been starved for too long...

and damned, Man U better win the title this year man!! so close...and i'm so glad their jersey sponsor's been changed to Nike...this year's jersey's sooo classy..i'm sooo yearning for it...

and ronaldo's gonna be the player of the season no doubt.

it's time to shop for a new wallet too, and new shoes..apparently cheang things my shoes have become so dysmorphic they don't look like shoes anymore...and oh well, i guess iits time i look more presentable during clinics..tho i think i look pretty respectable liao. hmm.

mannzz...must save up save up!! electives at new york's not gonna be cheap! and june hols haven't yet decided...gosh..lcukily havent been drivin to gp clinics recently..save some petrol lah huh...but GE consult has set me bak by $38...!@#$%^& why my GPs never ever gimme free consults one huh...fuck!

speaking of which, time for my 3rd servicing for my beloved mazda..good time, snce i won't be driving anyway...and yes, bros, i'm still saving up to zhng...yeah top most on my mind would of course be the rims...im still looking...gunmetal or silver's a little dull for me..looking at chrome(expensive) or white(hard to maintain cos i'm a lazy boy)...but yeah still lookin, and body kit, more or less settled on Kenstyle for the longrun...front grille of cos, lohloh's got a good deal ive jsut been procrastinating..fianlly a recent add on i've seen on the roads...VG sharkfin antenna in velocity red! totally rocks man..according to jos, it really helps aerodynamically...and saw this black m3 with a floating spoiler from JDM..chio!

Hello all!

it's so heartening to realise that my dear friends are still keeping up on the progress of my otherwise mundane life on this blog...my god! even I have totally forgotten about it, having not visited it myself for the past few months...HAHA..yes yes, what with COFM and pharmaco (grr...) pros, emed, and of course medsocky works..

haha so i shall not disappoint and maybe start blogging again..when i have the time..and after various comments 24 hrs after i blogged, i realise i haven't lost my midas touch, still keeping up with my style of writing that my dear friends have so unfortunately discovered...

The well used template beginning with "im so excited abt xxx(particular event being discussed) " followed by a very disappointingly anticlimatic "BUT, fuck lah!, in the end dam boring" kinda ending...hohohohohohohohoho!!!

and my dear cg mate celeb pron has kindly reminded me to publicise about his blog at prawnfret.blogspot.com hohohohohoho!!! absolutely scrumptious!!

in the meantime, i've discovered blogs with frighteningly similar contents, some of which i shall emulate as follows...

1) P-plate!

I've finally been able to take off my p plates after a year, though many of my friends thot me safe and veteran enuff a driver to have been able to take them off a couple of years ago..that said, being lazy hb, i don't take off my pplates...cos it doesnt really matter cos im still terrorising cars on ze roads...eg. tailgating, speeding(almost caught twice in 2 days), beating red lights etc. hohohoho!!

but aiya, actually its still there cos my darling amanda drives the fiery red beauty sometimes..so yup!

P-plate, count your blessings ur coveted spot on my windscreens still obscure the birdshit that drops everyday..

2) Ambulance runs

I think i've mentioned it liao, but on a lighter note, i porned nightcall on friday night to meet up with old pals jasper and co at smoo, sharing a beer and so, more to come perhaps...

and well, last week of emed! im gonna miss it, SGH totally rocks my sox, i really love the ED man, esp dam good profs who teach really well and dam funny profs who crack over their own jokes and crak us up...

okay, gonna look for some chiken now, im really hungry..

and not forgetting an unforgettable afternoon with the boys in town on saturday, having some sake sushi, where the sashimi salad relaly sucked, and a very unengaging TMNT..which i fell asleep for bit parts of the show...die lah...becoming like colin liao...hohohoo

they look way skinnier, and splinter looks more doggy than rat...the plot is rather different from the usual tmnt, and there are no shredders, just really weird monsters jumping here and there...hahah watch at your own risk, or look out for top critics reviews and flynn's blog...

Just briefly a few days after the horrid Pharm and Cofm papers, a new era began.

Emed is exciting, and i embraced it with an energy never unleashed before the past few weeks..I mean, ambulance runs, nightcalls, RTAs, REsus! dam exciting lah! and so i've heard...

Thus far, its been an incessant schedule of tutorials and lectures that leaves me hardly enough time in the ED and of cos sleep laaaaaaaaah!!

However, i'm dam grateful for my tutors lah, they're probably the most powerful and unorthodox, yet highly efficient ones amongst the whole of singapore A&E i reckon...ahaha..and they have an uncanny knack of laughing at their own jokes..

All in all, i'm pretty grateful for my emed in posting at SGH man, been really looking forward to it..there's seriously no better place to work than SGH! hope i get some housemanship at SGH next time man...

Ambulance run 1:

I was posted to a very fine fire station, best in singapore..YISHUN FIRE STATION..rocks man,my paramedics were dam nice and experienced.

However, due to my very presence, which ensured that yishun remains a very safe place, it was largely uneventful until 12noon. thats when my first case started after stoning for an largely unscrumptious morning. Resus case, thot we got it back..but by the time we reached TTSH, hew as let go... he looked at peace though, especially when i could see howmuch he was suffereing before...

and den, i jsut didnt have any calls again until 5pm lah...stoning the whole dam day..yishun is really just too safe..

Ambulance run 2:

This was the night run, the supposedly more exciting one. My paramedics were more fun, and they brought DVDS along man!! so we were posted to the firepost on the outskirts of yishun..and we waited...and watched..and waited and watched...and waited and watched...finally, we waited and we watched again. BEFORE I KNEW IT, it was 7am.

THERE, ZERO calls for the whole night. so much for my ambulance run man.

If you're looking for a safe place to stay, CHOOSE YISHUN! hahah..

come on, last week of Emed, i need more sleep, i need more time.

hello, long time no see..i'm only blogging because my exam dates has been pushed forward by a week from 7th march to 1st march...that leaves me with a little more than a month to study for 2 major subjects i have not touched for one year.

these words from a great man probably summarise every suffering m3's sentiments right now:

"i think the dean's office is penalising us for a mistake on their part; their incompetence in foreseeing such problems; and the perenial "act before consulting" by telling external examiners etc...leaving us on the receiving end of terrible administration from a supposed world-clas university and we're supposed to just swollow(sic) this like bitter medicine with total disregard for our rights and welfare.

at the end of the day we will surely accept it, like it or not, but it will not go dwn well and will be remembered for a long time to come."

Ooh Wee!

finally, this weekend was spent catching up with some friends(from medical school), babe and family. hahaa..finally a movie in town, the PRESTIGE, like woah! finally... and yes, IN TOWN! oh god, have i been deprived.

i wouldnt say i haven't been having fun or 'chilling' out in that sense.. beers here, dinners there, plus lots of meetings...tonnes of it actually...

ooh yes, it's not an easy job, but at least, i think, i'm one who works well under slight stress, ooh i stress again, slight stress... gives me a fresh perspective of how much MORE time i seem to have..oh yes, i'm becomng pretty good at time management, but NOT without help from those people around me, those that i love and those that love me..hehe..

ah, the HK Cha chan teng is really not bad, their MACAU iced coffee is keeping me up, therefore the late night. i'm prolly not gonna catch any winks till the early morning.

1 heineken plus 1 shot of danzka vodka, and i'm still very much well awake.

i think i'd better stay off the 1 or 2 beer per night habit or cirrhosis is gonna visit me real soon -chuckles-

in the meantime, it's really good to hang out well with cheang, we've finally got our date(other than those times spent around NUS and dinners at NUH/scicanteen/nusmacs)

hello, to e peeps who's been clickin' this page..sorry havent been updating man...

Surg at AH been drainin me for some weird reason i dunno...it seemed like we havent been doin much clearkin' but we DO walk around and stand around ALOT...gosh. there's so much to take in and the only thing i wanna do after work is to just plomp down on my plush red velvety queen sized bed. haha. strange, but very true.

it sucks, the feeling of comfort and homeliness that always comes with the place just when u're about to leave it. argh, gonna miss AH after the next 2 weeks..mainly cos the pple here are just FANTASTIC!

just read some blogs, particularly my old frens from medd and cambodge, seems like we're all feeling the same kind of jadedness man, missing old times and all..yeah strange but true but i used to have so much time infront of the comp checkin mail and going online..hardly do that now and the days just WHIZZ by.

hardly even doing the things that i used to like to do, hardly even have time to catch up with friends, actually i havent at all. ive just been holed up. i've got no time. no, actually, im just too tired. and the weekends fly by too fast.

till today, cheang and i still can't imagine ive started m3 proper. it just seems as if i never had any holidays before... though alexandra's a pretty nice place, and reaching early at 7.30am has its perks (the notsoterrible traffic) it's still pretty much a toil having to travel so far...damned you dean's office why do u post pple to extreme ends of the islands..like how peeps in the north always get posted to the west (nuh and ah) and how peeps in the west aka shaun dannyboy hsienmin and zy get posted to the far east at changi..basket...

well..it hasnt all been a bed of roses though they are many at ah, not so much due to the fact that usually gotta stay till 5pm..and the lack of patients to clerk..i guess thats a good thing in a way, not so many sick pple huh. but its hard on us medical students esp when we gotta clerk and present a long case each when he could be gone tmr...

at least got free parking! and on the first day we got thrown into the OT and i scrubbed up while a certain team (4, i think) got to scrub in at brewerkz for lunch. oh, dang! well at least i got to feel a lipoma, presented it and even SUTUREd his wound up in the OT..talk about being thrown into the deep end on the first day man..haha..2nd day was per rectal straight away, and the 3rd was another per rectal!! only a manny keen on doing her virgin asspokin' did i escape being tagged a "3 PRs done in 3 consec. days". oh, and with the world cup, its been nonstop trying to catch up on sleep.

oh, and did i mention...just a few days b4 i started e first posting proper, i got thrown into action once again..having to attend to this guy who collapsed and had a fit at borders, and no medical personnel was there to assist!! imagine my stunned look as the security guard looked at me and said 'are u a medical student?' i nodded and proceeded with some simple first aid..luckily he was breathin' and all dun need to do cpr..checked his pulse and confirmed with the guard he called the ambulance...phew~ luckily the paramedics came in time..

talk about passion for the job huh, i hardly have enuff time for my other passions..

finally back from vietnam, will post up pics later, as usual the procrastinator that i am..havent even posted up any aussie pics though, or have i?? haha...its been a great trip, a blast, Ups and downs, more UPs than downs, meeting pple along the way, the FOOD...ooooh the FOOOD...and the plentiful beer tshirts/singlets galore, but its the pple that make or break the trip...

its been an even mix, but truly vietnam i gotta say, the hidden charm..bustling cities with its incessant horning, beautiful pine trees high up in the moutains, green green fields of padi, wonderful beaches, soft sand and clear blue ocean, wartorn tunnels, old school imperial tombs and citadels, yellow buildings a piece of history from the cham dynasty...what more can u get?

but surely nothing beats home, coming back to appreciate how lucky u really are, the comforts of your loved ones...can't beat that man.

as i await the champions league final in 1/2 hour's time btwn arsenal and barcelona, armed with enuff tacos and guacamole and beer to last me thru the match..i sit down and ponder upon the so-called "coming of age".......

reckoned, 21 years of age doesnt seem to have much impact on me physically nor mentally, i mean, other than having to shave a tad more often i really look younger than my 21 years after that brown-yellowish-golden crop's been trimmed off...

yupp, it was apt that i should be 21 the first day i slipped into my newly pressed longsleeve shirts, pleated/flat fronts, my awesome topman ties(be it the striped fat ones or the skinny tie), stethoscope around the neck, and armed with what seemed like a comprehensive knowledge of microbiology, i was all ready for that first day of 'work'.

After 3 weeks, it dawned (FINALLY) upon me that i'm starting to make a difference in others' and of course my life. and that really made me realise i was an adult, with added responsibilities now. never mind the chaufferring of my mum ard, she still pays my allowance.. but, i am able to finally look into that crystal ball of mine and see what it really is like...

thank god its friday! man, i really needed this, to fix alot of things, and a well needed sleep-in. clinics been getting more and more productive, our confidence growing as each day passes...

after a good meal at din taifung finally sampling those xiaolongbaos and having a tub of bravi, it was off to cafe iguana today for some burritos, platas and MACHO margaritas!

and what better way than to finish off with a nice cosy nanny mcphee..which is really a sweet and funny show really, and really shows how beautiful it is to live in the UK, mann im dreaming my british dream...

wah! hmm...after reading dq's blog and seeing his few photos, im dam onz about going to vietnam oredi siah!! somemore heard danang's beaches dam good..wahlao, i wanna go man. anybody wants to go not.

anyway, clinics been pretty orite so far, really scary/nice to see everybody reading up alot so much, kinda reminds me of when we were studying for pros u noe, kinda thing, but i guess thats good, and prolly just the momentum carried over from pros, plus the extra motivation knowing that your career is finally taking off, yes, i noe, i noe, finally doing your bid to save the world, we all know that, we all feel that, and yes, its true, though somewhat cliched, but still very true indeed.

nobody wants to make any mistakes anyway, and 'i dunno' is increasingly becoming accepted as part of our medical student's lingo. better to admit ure dumb than to do something wrong, something i've learnt over the past few days. hmm hmm.. well, that's good anyway, hur...what with the cockups that the medical fraternity as been facing these days, we'd better prove our worth, and make our degree all the more worthwhile...

meantime, i really should get down to reading, CVS 70 pages is quite killa, wahliew, if not for my cgmates, i think now ah, really gone case.

hmm..been away for a long time, hmm...first post since i turned the big 2-1! woohooo~ RA movies here i come..and the coming of age..okay, lots of things to blog about, but no time actually...

Clinicals

its been fun so far! well, actually more of tiring. first day everybody looking dam smart, but i was late as usual, just missed some briefings..

my CG rocks man! jenica, amanda, kaixiang and yingwei are dam fun! and FUNNY! HAHA life's nv a bore with cg29..plus dickson and isaac..we're practically clowning around half the time..yes u got that, we clown around half the time, but the other half, when we're supposed to be learning stuff and clerking patients, you betcha we do a good job! oh yeah we do! so actually...we didnt really have a lot of waiting time like the other grps..cos our grp is dam on the ball!
first day oredi lunch outing oredi...nyDC and 1/2priced waffles at gelare for lunch together, too bad no camera siah, and after, MUGGING MADNESS! haha..okay lah we read up lah, so can answer a few qns..wahliew, my spigelian hernia answer actually correct lor i tell u...anyway, its really tiring so far, though we've been doing noting much..but really, its really what they say u finally see what uve been mugging for so far, not just medicine, but practically everything that uve learnt..u incorporate even GP skills from A levels u noe, that kinda thing..yeah..and seeing patients, man, that takes the cake..and we're really treated like lowly beings in the wards...tread carefully and u'll be safe. in fact, no one bats an eyelid at m2s in whitecoats..i think they're all used to it, but u finally see how just plain history taking, like those endless seemingly boliao qns that your doctor asks you finally comes to light, that they can already give you an idea of the differential diagnosis that u can make... MAN! AM I A MOTIVATED MEDICAL STUDENT NOW!

phew~ more days to come, can't wait for physical exam! HEHEHEHE

birthday! 21st.

yup, and so it is, from boy to man, though the transition already happened a long time ago, though some would tend to differ. ahem. well, its more like a festival really...from the moment i stepped into the YHA room in sydney with zhong, it hasnt stopped... celbratead with zhong, et and yingci in sydney(woohoo!) really sweet, they got me a muffin which had TWENTY ONE chocolate chips on it! wow man wow! hahaa...and i celebrated with a beer of cos..countless..yummy! and then the moment i touched down, cheang appeared at the airport, or rather i chionged out to escape customs, haha and there she was...pretty as an angel.. little did i noe that scheming girl had sooo many things up her sleeves that she even surprised the unsurprisable hb. hurhur..

first, it was the jolly good raspberry cheesecake she made (FIRST TIME SHE EVER MADE ANYTHING EDIBLE!) and then, it was the jolly good present she came up with...reallly WOW! mann, a full bartending set including a whole book of recipes!! plus a really cute tshirt....hehehee... well what can i say, hb is a lucky man, he's got the sweetest girlfriend ever! man, that was the best birthday i ever had!!! and the best present too!! she's so ultimately sweet...yes im really lucky...and i can go on rambling..will post up pics!

yeah! and then it was chionging down to aranda right next day for the first party, for the meddie peeps, lots of booze! and thanks for cumming peeps! sorry about the cockup with the cake though, amply made up for with the stunningly white snowy flaked haagen daaz ice cream cake..which costs a hefty 100bucks...what the fuck right!
well, it looked really good and tasted good...thanks much to dicks and jirong for helping me get it...and, HAPPY 21ST TO U GUYS SOON TOO! can't wait for this sun man...im so not gonna drive..i hope we get drunk..hahahhaa

anyway, it was great to see everybody, and on the 2nd night, it was pure fun/hell...thanks loads no thanks to the drunkards and of cos isaac and bryant teo's beancurd which completely destroyed the bedroom...thanks brudders for getting the sleek raoul tie(i can't bear to use it), sarah for the cake, botaks and vida for the ball, jersey and really sweet card, shiwei for his choc cheesecake! yummy! rita for the cufflinks nice! mann...i feel so loved. hahahaha.. clearing up was a bitch!

not forgetting soi, serena and stef, the three Ses in my life, thanks for the card and photo soi, and the calls which didnt quite get thru from stef and serena :) love you guys!

MAN, finally a break outta the country....aaaaaaaahh...finally got thru the customs and everything, wahlkao, aussie's a bitch lor, nabei, think im a bloody terrorist, keep checking me and my passport, detain me, ask me so many stupid qns lor...but well, it was a blast! bondi beach totally takes the cake man! we visited so many fun places, great ocean road, yarra valley for wine tasting and aussie rules in melbourne, plus sydney opera house, fish market, blue mountains, meeting up with the aussie dudes porshe and timo, and bondi beach in sydney! mann!! i loooooove bondi beach, ZHONG, ARENT U GLAD I BROUGHT U ALONG!!! it was fabb!! will post up pics once zhong has sent me the photos...all i have are the topless pics of sunbathing aussie chicks...hahahhahaha....

WELL, i couldnt have had such a blast if not for this special girl called cheang. from sneaking in the birthday card to zhong, so that he could pass it to me on the stroke of midnight in sydney, which was really sweet :) and the pickup from the airport, coercing with my whole family including my auntie for the birthday surprise ie, raspberry cheesecake plus bartending gift, and helping me much during the party, and of course, for the SUPERB booty/boobilicious BURN THE FLOORS performance on sunday....now u noe why i call it a festival...its the most anyone has done for me, MAN! i love you so much baby..

and of course, to mummy no less, who was so sweet to have passed me the keys of the new velocity red mazda3 on my birthday itself...man!! though it officially belongs to her...all i gotta do is just drive her around...and i can have it all...thanks mom, i love u too :)

okay, 6 hours before my plane flies, i have yet to pack my bag, (nothing in at all) i have yet to change my currency, and i can't find my visa.

oh well, at least it'd be a good getaway, to the beaches, the shopping, the beer(YEAH!!), the cakes, the chocolates, some krispies from sydney, woohoooooo.... yeah at least i'll finally be out of the country after ONE YEAR...gosh, how did i survive..no wonder i was going crazy the entire year...havent had a decent beach holiday for a loooong looong time..i miss the sun sand and the sea...grrr...yeah that's bondi beach by dusk, or isit dawn im not sure...shiok siah!!

we're gonna rent bikes and cycle along the whole coast, from bondi to coogee...while having some grilled burgers....hmm...seafood..whatever lah!

not forgetting the great ocean road...erm, yeah we erm gonna rent a car though my mum forbids me to....visit the 12 apostles, of which only 9 are standing...

soak in the sights, cruise along the coast line (in a convert i hope?) breathe in the salty fresh sea air...i'm living in a dream world...

after weeks of hell and fretting over microbes, its finally over. sometimes i wonder why i put myself thru such rubbish, having dropping thinning hair, ulcers erupting in my mouth, having that palpitation once too often in the day, profused cold sweats on my palms and soles and that inability of somnolence at night. if only, if only. after that scare in m1, i still didnt learn my lesson!!

somehow, the situation just seemed to have escalated in m2, though im supposed to have been more mature..haha..luckily for me, the past few wks would have been much worse if it hadnt been for zhong and daniel(dq) around..rain or shine, sunday or monday, they'd be there..ready to answer any queries that i have..not forgetting zhong for going thru staph aureus with me the day before the paper!! wooohoo!

yes well, im going to blog this down and possibly hyperlink to the side bar, to always remind me of what hell i have been thru.

finally met up with 3 of the brudders after what seemed like eternity..hahha..finally met jasper after 4 weeks of nonexistence..had a good dinner at the new revamped holland v hawker centre..according to them the chicken rice and the crispy noodles werent nice..my char kway teow oso not up to par leh..abit too wet for my liking..and its not those kind of marine parade healthy water wet kind lor..its oily wet kind lor...ergh. yeah went to wala's for some hoes to chill den, pretty alright band, and as jasp puts it, looks can be deceiving hurhur..

MoS after, woohoo! we beat the queues to get in at 9plus..checked out the whole place and loos while it was still clean..but surprisingly the crowd at the main arena abit muted..but smoove was just way too crowded..54 was pretty interesting, abit bright though..wanna get into pure leh...25yrs old...i where can siah...but its really nice! yeah and the blue lights does remind me of MOs in london, that rocked man! drinks were also potent, wah, feel like going there everyweek lor..yeah and celebrate leslie's bdae..happy 21st man bro..my wisdom tooth bro..he opened like 3 bottles..went mad drinking man, woke up with a mild hangover

the next night was spent at vch with hunter for his huangcheng..during the break cheang and i walked ard the place at the arts house...and electrico was playing!! wooohooo we almost didnt wanna leave..they rock man!! den again, the lukewarm sg crowd just refused to get up and going..grr..well well.

celebrated leon's 21st den at swissotel, thats why i cudnt make ur party weng, sorry :( totally got smashed lor, thanks to you guys isaac leon and yk..thanks alot man..and of course the rest...who took care of me while my merlions reached the pedestrians walking 66storeys below..hurhur...wahlao, think i retched like 10 times altogether lor before conking out on the sofa till morning...piangz! it was smashing, like literally haha..but it was good fun man!

i think that's it. the weekend has done its bid to finish me off.

rather too much of a breather, too much time spent under the blankets. its 9.41pm now, and i think i should be off to really kill of microb. there's not much time left, i dunno what im still doing here. there's much to be accomplished..i hope i can...

there's a man u match at 3.55am later, i hope i can stay up and mug till at least that time. and hopefully, i would have fallen asleep and miss the match and wake up intime to drag myself to school. yeah, no time to waste. its microb time. why i stress that...i can afford to put myself under undue stress for the pros, although i should be. neither do i want to get less than mediocre grades anymore. yes, i have a penchant for tripping over at t/f exams, and still do, and there's nothing i can do about. i can only just remember as much as i can and play the 'safe' way. its demoralising many times when u dont get how others can do it when u cant..

plus 5 drugs to take, amoxicillin-antibiotic, famotidine- h2 antagonist, eheh! naproxen sodium- painkilla serrapeptidase-reduce swelling (BUT STILL SWOLLEN), and chlorhexidine- mouthwash. lanjiao!! i wanna eat !!!

well well..friday was the day of hair straightening...brought the revlon along to school cos lynnpoops needed it for her pageant later that evening...and so during bones prac we were too bored at the back, and i whipped out the trusty clamps, unplugged the microscopes and begin to warm it up literally...first up, isaac's..gotta say commendable job done..hahha..and nextup was ian...unfortunately i could only make it less curly and not all that straight despite being at high heat..hahhaa..and den it was dehan, who, erm, should take care of his hair more meticulously, it was tough but i made it pretty straight..wavy..kinda...at least, NICER LAH! hahaah...

oooh we usher in the year of dog with some doggy biscuits..hmm yummy! say goodbye to the good ole' monkey..was it the monkey?? oh no..it was something else..goat?? i cant remember.. but! remember to return all things u owe..unless of cos u deliberately want to borrow over the new year to usher in good luck..like red camera, red car, etc, but dun share red underwear ah!!

yes....speaking about that, the cny mood certainly rubbed off me from furry cheang this year, wad with the madness shopping and town EVERY (note, not every OTHER) day, as we scoured for the best buys and the best deals available.. yes in recent years i havent been celebrating the festives, as i find the festive season a chance to get away and relax rather than get into all the hustle and bustle and irritate myself by all the rush and the crowds..seemingly the mood has rushed back all to me again, new this new that new everything!! even for christmas and newyr's lor, according to cheang's logic everything should be new..so that u usher in good luck! yes that's right!

yes and what better way to usher in the new year than to support our RED lions at kallang?? we watched as not alas, siah missed chances after chances before my hero indie saddam scored a consolation goal..mann, that was the highlight, with everyone in the stadium cheering and jumping..hmm damned, i should have gone to the tiger cup final lor..piangs..yeahh and that said, i put on my red jersey for good luck (mine, not the lions) and lo and behold i won a maxell lanyard...but the angpow money anytime man..

yeah, and so we trawled orchard road for many times huh, at first only supposed to get a cny shirt since i decided i had new jeans tucked away, courtesy of thailand, and new socks which i forgot to take out of the plastic bag..and of course new undies! its a tradition every year that i get new undies..and every year during cny, MUST wear red colour underwear..for good luck.. den wang wang what! yes, it is true that a certain pair of red undies used to be my good luck pair which i wore on the day of my races, esp for finals..but that has since been passe..

finally i found a decent top to go with my new jeans..actually wanted to get the dockers flat front chinos one, but cheang thinks its too ahpei and i think its too secondaryschool pants style..urgh! quite comfy though..so NO, i did not decide on this red mandarin collar top from paragon but it looked quite good though! gongfu style den i can go bai nian perhaps get more angpows cos i seem to be so wang wang..haha..got a bright orange and pink and red striped shirt lah..bright bright can oredi lah...yes i noe very me..

so well it concluded with several new stuff as well, new bedsheets from aussino in blue, since i oredi had a red one and that ran out of the yellow DAMNED! courtesy of cheang since she thot its half priced on the 2nd one might as well get another one right?! not bad..but since i wanted this new year to be wang wang(!) i decided to just wash my red bedsheets and red quilt covers and red pillow cases so i can wang, and since i saw my parents using the old but clean sheets i decided to pass them on the new ones i got..hurhur...

finally concluded our tiring shopping with dinner at the food republic and wisma with some good ole' beef noodles, man! its really nice now the decor and all, damn ole' school, somemore got this guy go push this wooden cart ard sounding his horn like karang guni...actually it sells drinks from table to table so u dun have to go to the stall..and of course all the old kopitiam style lah, dam funky lah dunno how to describe oredi..yeahh and with my face all burnt red for the new year, man! im gonna wang this season! btw the foto was taken a few weeks ago when we first went..that was during xmas, nice siah! the foto..like we in some foreign land unfortunately the food republic sign gave it away..

yes this year of dog i wish everyone a happy new year, may all get angpaos lots and treat me with kindness and respect..some resolutions: to study hard and pass well lah, what else is new, pass my driving..hopefully the redness wangs will gimme that, strike rich, stay healthy, be toned, make everyone happy..yeahh..and stay happy..that's the gist..GONGXIFACAI EVERYONE! this year sure WANG! cos thats how the dog barks, WANGWANG! yup and lets not take credit away from the gou, that's from char haha her new dog..she's smart char that hot girl, a new puppy to usher in the year of the dog, now THAT'S WANG MAN!!

its amazing how things can change so fast in a matter of days..just 2 days after the CAs i've completely forgotten almost EVERYTHING about bacteria..arghh grr..

suddenly, there's only 7+ more weeks to the next CAs and only 10more to the PROs. god, how can time pass so fast?!?!

crazy pple do crazy things, who eats ice cold but yummy bravi tub in the ice cold weather and who jumps into the cold cold empty pool when it just stopped pouring?! hahahha

and well, the weather's cool, like literally. something singapore hasnt been the past year, its good and bad the way u see it. and my aircon right now is 'warmer' than the temp outside. its nice to walk thru the streets at night in my sweater and my hands tucked warm inside my pockets, breathing in the cool, fresh air. yeah, im one of those who like turning down the aircon to a freezing temp and then bundling myself up in warmies..oh, or maybe i am the ONLY one.....

its not very often that u get to talk on the phone, rattling and rambing away without a care in the world about the time, what u gonna do tmr, whether uve studied enough, whatever. its not very often that a girl like that pops by and keeps u company thru the night, talking about everything under the sun..from the silliest things to the downright serious stuff...hahahha how thankful i am!

so our breakfasts usually turn into lunches...well then again, who says we need to eat breakfasts...breakfasts gimme stomachaches anyway...and breakfasts make u fat. hmm yep that's right. haahahah

so one fine morning, while the streets of orchard were empty... cheang and i trotted down to macs after chatting for what seemed like, no, it WAS some good 4 or 5 or 6 hours...with some grey's anatomy in between..to meet for breakfast at 7 in town...hahahaha gosh were we sleepy..

somemore it was like a weekday morning siah..shouldnt the roads be busy with pple going to work and children be sent to school... look at it siah! at lido traffic light..look at the no. of cars hogging the roads!! 0!!!

amazingly, the only other time i saw this happen was during the new year's countdown like eons ago, i can't remember when but it was littered with sprays and cans and rubbish...mann am i proud singapore's clean!!

and mcdonald's pancakes it was for breakfast..the very first customers for the morning...like how STRANGE is that...don't pple eat breakfast anymore...macs opens at like what, 6plus..and nobody was there at like 8??! nvmd..enjoyed the hotcakes anyway..my first since i was a kid..haha well 1) i nv eat hotcakes, always big bf or sausage mcmffin with egg 2) i never ever wake up in time! man, do i sound like a bitch or wad.

hahaha ya and so it happened again last nite...tho really cudnt hold up any longer after not sleeping for nearly 24 hrs and racking my brains for the damned CAs..

and im up again at 10...its gonna be a fab tuesday.

just read stef's blog and can't really think of a title anyway..im unoriginal.

CAS ARE OVER!!!!!!! for now...another one coming up in hmm, 1,2 months? sucks.

anyway caught elizabeth town with cheang today..not bad, pretty good show..abit draggy tho, but man! was the soundtrack good...perfect for those lazy sat/sunday afternoons where u just do nothing but laze around and watch tv..go out in the sun..zip around the countryside...just that bit of music to liven things up..

after that, finally met up with stef before she leaves tmr morning. and pple i havent seen for a long time too, sarah, lum, melvin....everyone just kinda disappeared...it was really nice seeeing everybody, and i was really glad i met stef, though not many words were exchanged...in fact not many words were exchanged the whole time... its that warm fuzzy feeling u noe, like a feeling of those good ole times when all of us would meet together..just to slump into that silent lull..everyone just sitting around..think things havent gotten better though..i guess everyone was just tired...grr..nothing a little alcohol wouldnt do.. yeah i miss those ole times.

perhaps, perhaps its bcos of what happened. well. its kinda sad.. after all..he's my friend. one of those i've known the longest amongst everybody. we've seen each other thru from 13 till 20..k maybe 19..we were even pretty close in some pointS along those 7 years. and well, i guess the mutual respect for each other has always been there.. we respected each other's strengths.. and i still do. those times when we were competing on the track..those times we were competing in class..all our achievements somewhat parallelling each other..well that was 4 years in ri..there's been rough patches, fights, but in the end, we still pulled thru..in the end, we still had loads of fun together, ri, rj..its just sad that things turned out this way. i mean of cos, im happy for him now, but i wont deny that ive drifted away from the grp becos of the 2 of them..yeah no hard feelings anyway anyhow, never have been. it's just that it'd be weird.

so sorry stef, if i havent been mambo-ing sometimes..u know the reason/s other than mugging or busy, hahaha..and well, not going for mambo doesnt mean that i care for u any less :)

well, what's a new year without a post!
hahaha...like hunter puts it..the run-up to the new year was exciting, but the new year was just, well. BAH.

hahaha..'twas a great get together for the 5 of us huh..plus our loved ones..soon to be loved ones..the food was great, even though the steamboat wasnt eaten much..the stock, was actually quite fantastically yummy...so too was yk's successful hokkien mee buy...and also wanker's bread pudding which took the cake..and YUM, those sausages were good man! well done bros. let's make this an annual thing. as jokes were shuttled across here and there, yk with his silly drinking games which totally cracked everyone up...the mind numbing mahjong which made furry really good..hahah..watching yk winning11 at the couch with sm was really cute though..and it was good seeing jo and sab after such a long hiatus..nothing beats having your best friends together having a meal and a whale of a time :)

and den, it was the new year's eve. a totally refreshing one, considering i've been counting down and partying away the last few new years, yes, even the last, it seemed sooo long ago. which was in cambodia, some pub i cant remember...as fireworks go off so very near outside, pple cheering and screaming..sometimes being in church thanking god for all that has happened it the past year is nice.

so i missed the fireworks, but at least i had someone to hug after, for a joyous 2005 that has passed, erasing the demons of old that was 2004, probably the most cursed year ever.. and i guess it couldnt get any worse than that...2005 was truly a rewarding and fulfilling year. i've grown soo much. the passing of my exams, the travelling(!!!!!), friends, and of course furch.

maybe 2006 neednt have much resolutions, i say much because there's just too many which are carried over from the past i cant remember anymore..lets just say i wish things to be good, just like everyone else does. and that i'm happy, and so too those around me.

2006 is gonna rock man! wooooo~

in the wake of the nkf scandal, kpmg undug out more dirty linen to show for, having only a fucking 10cents for every dollar donated going to the kidney patients..that bloody durai and richard yong better wake up their senses and i hope proper justice is being brought against them. better sue their asses off and strip them of their every assets and return them to the other much deserved charities.

its even more heartwrenching when u read the hard cold facts that, its in fact 'ordinary singaporeans, not the rich singaporeans' who are committed donors to the charities...and yet the rich continue to sieve off these hard earned funds, not only from these donors, but also from those volunteer their time to help raise these funds. damned, if you, my friend, or rather, WHEN you get rich, please share some of it with those who need it more and not waste your money on another car when u already have 3, nor should u splash out $10k on a single bet at the world cup and laugh when u lose it. singapore pools is not a charity.

as much as nkf is much detested now, i must say that the donors who recently withdrew from committing to nkf and those who blasted the call centres ought to reflect much more than that. the old nkf is no longer in management and its the new nkf now, don't forget that the money still goes into helping the PATIENTS and NOT INTO THE POCKETS OF DURAI AND CO anymore.

so much for the merry christmas giving huh.

i moved i moved, i moved thru my dreams, every night i have several..its not that i have fitful episodes of sleep, even though i sometimes do, i reckon i just sleep too much!

just the other night, actually just two nights ago, i dreamt that i was on a train, somewhat similar to the ones in europe, maybe not so nice...but actually i was on a train travelling thru malaysia..and hey, even though its so close to home, i reckon i know the streets of london better than the roads of malaysia! i was absolutely clueless as to where langkawi, redang, and even penang was until i read lonely planet a while ago..i didnt noe langkawi was so high up!! that u could actually take a bus ride to krabi or koh samui!! like how cool is that!! i'm so gonna do it lor..and yes, as much as i want to see the rest of the world, lets reserve sometime for these neighbours of ours, i have so little time now, i wished i could go. but as much as the heart wants it, the flights are all fully booked. muahaha.

today's horoscope says that to say im intellectually inspired today is a tremendous understatement, i figure i can't let the stars down then! ooh i started reading partho today, am i good or what, all u holidaymakers out there, im gonna kickass next jan!! hoho..

on a sidenote, i havent been posting much fotos, maybe cos i havent been taking any..but 0oooh there're some of me and straightened hair, i look absolutely gorgeous! not to mention VERY young. but. im lazy.

hah, its long overdued. but had to blog cos i keep listening to the song over and over again.

actually a big draw factor to it was that karen mok was starring in it..and rent is a kinda big broadway show over at ny, and plus the tickets were really cheap!!! hahaha..yupp so hobbled over with sore legs with cheang, celebrating our 2nd month anniversary :) ahahha..it was a happy day.

well the show started out oright..but man, things really got livened up with all its themes, im glad i caught it, cos it was so real. at first i didnt quite get the angel and tom collins part, but man, were they good!! both of them!! their voices really complemented each other man. and of course maureen and joanne..woohooo their rendition of take me or leave me was much much more soulful and powerful than what's playing now (its from the movie soundtrack) and literally took my (and cheang's) breath away..haha...karen mok suited her role pretty well, until she opened her mouth..other than that, she was fab man, her costumes, her legs, her figure..woooosh.

quite sad though, cos angel's actually one of my fav characters..cos he's really energetic and sing really really well, and he was soo cute! ahahhaa..but of course, nothing tops it all than great company..think i enjoyed it very much cos cheang was there.

the past weeks been real sloww..nothing much exciting happened..in fact i can't even remember much..except trying to catch up with school work. time is ticking by and i havent even started organising my notes yet. yes that's right im running out of time and if i dun buck up. sigh.

i moved i moved, i moved my ass, i moved my legs, all 42.195 km of it! yes albeit a little slow..not to mention many unglam pics taken along the way...damned those fotographers can't they take glammer shots and at least let me know so i could pose?!?!

that said, i'm never gonna run another one again. such pure torture..and its not longer about ur stamina, its how much ur legs can hold..yes thats right, ur lungs are really fei4 (HAHA) i wasnt even panting but both legs were just cramping up so much..glad i made it in the end, albeit 40minutes of my target..but well, at least i met up with alot of friends along the way so that was pretty good..haha pretty amazed to see chongnyen there..cos i noe he hates running..hurhur..

well hey, nice finisher's shirt i've got and the medal too, but nothing beats the satisfaction that i've completed a marathon and will never do it again. HAHA.

and man, these past few days have been busy busy...i come home tired everynight. i just woke up from a 10 hr slumber, well deserved. whats next? biathlon, triathlon? mann am i boring or what. no, i want to go chill out, to booze. and i have so many great friends, that none replied my previous posts, so im staying in ulu sembawang to mug my ass away...sentosa here i come..

1)passing my driving (argh, yes its passe)
2) play some tennis maybe
3) read more books. read read and read.
4) diving!! i really wanna go check out similan island..
5) wakeboard! (distant, but hopeful.)
6) A MUCH NEEDED WELL PLANNED HOLIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
7)ok lah, and play more sports, esp tennis. i need to improve.
yes, its the monsoon season but i really really wanna go to a beachy place...

yes it says it all!!!!!!!!
after 4 weeks of intensive mugging..5 or 6 or 7 or 8 for some..but 4 for me...its finally over!!

actually, it effectively ended a week before the final CAs, when i stayed home the entire week...no no, not to mug but to just wind out and relax..only mugged 1 or 2 hours a day..yes that was how burnt out i was...but, glad now.

kelong trip!! it was soo fun!! basically it was ALL ABOUT FOOD...GLORIOUS SEAFOOD! i wished i could blog it down, but im too lazy. well lets just say that i caught a catfish (small) after 7 yes that's SEVEN frigging hours, and i was how delighted..using the wrong rod and no hook notwithstanding...poor zhong i wished i could say the same, but man, u dunno how much your presence there meant to me. i think the best part during the whole trip was both of us chilling by the bridge, albeit for a really short while, but it really felt good. with denise too, i think u 2 peeps are one of those pple that i can really talk to..hmm..

ahh..woke up bright and early at 7am in the morning, watch the sun shine on my bum and thot to myself, "what a wonderful sunday!"

so i went back to sleep. it's been a long time man, the past week's been nothing less than hectic, what with plentiful driving lessons and one referees course plus studying and furry..finally got to spend some quality time with my bed at home..yummm

lazed till 10..when i awoke to 3 smses, one from furry, izacyee abt soccer later and ale! woohooooo...it was lazing in my bed (again) for a round of friends before i scooted off to the match..yah that's when the crzy part began..was actually pondering if i shud skip it since i wanted to just slack at home..but heck lah, just go...turned out not such a great result, but who cares! got some exercise...

and lo and behold, as if the 90minutes of madness werent enuff, having to chase dead balls and old men, a worrying thot crossed my mind, dec4th is approaching fast so i'd better do something abt it. dropped by cold storage to get a litre of gatorade, eyeing several beers along the way (hoegaarden weiber, erdinger weiber and dunkel, san miguel pilsner, kilkenny draught and a 6packof corona wooo!) gulped half of it down, reached home put down my stuff........

and went for a 50minute, just a little past 8km run. yes, that after 90minutes of football. god, was it good! yes it was! my legs never felt sooo gooood. must have been that 90minutes that kinda warmed them up. almost died though, as i ran thru the countless restaurants/coffeeshops, smelling the marvelous fish head curry, nasilemak and sembawang seafood...god! i almost stopped after whiffing them. and mannn am i craving for them now. hehehehehehehhehe cheang, ure almost there...my evil getfat plan is well on its way...hehehhe

yupp and guess what after that run, got back and took a nice warm shower and headed down for dinner..lo and behold!! pasar malam!!!

oh yes!!! ramly burger!!! taiwan sausage!! tea eggs!! tutu kueh!! chicken wings!! WAAHHH hope its still there tmr man...wahhhh...

and mann the little heartlander/ahbeng in me woke up again, im so gonna get my stuff tmr man..its time for some heartlander shopping...(not forgetting the OKTOBERFEST 2005 ERDINGER COLLECTERS PACK!!!!)

little wonder why my 6 packs refuse to show....

i've gotta give it to you guys man, everytime i wanna throw the towel/devilsjersey in, u guys just pop right back to shout it out, what can i say, watching the replay gets me on the edges of my torn sofa seats, even though i oredi knew that chelski wudnt bang in any goals, still, man!!! what a performance by the red boys man.

what can i say, i've gotta credit this to roy keane, and truly and well deservedly, alan smith, u DA MAN, MANN!!! what a game! what tackles, what commitment! and rooney as usual was fantastic. not to mention paul scholes who was just brilliant..and van der sar!! orite man. oh ya, roy keane, that's the way man, screw ur own teammates and get them to wake up. that's the way man.

yup, please make sure that me buying the red jersey ain't no money down the bin when it could be beer down the throat...i mean, i dun expect u guys to win the league lah, but please dun go around getting smacked 4-1 by some unknown riversiders..its just absolutely embarrassing when pple can't even pronounce franck quedrue or gaizka mendieta. here's the money to u, suckas.
